Debbie, There is no reason for you to suffer through your pain. There are many medications out there used for chronic pain. Some are narcotics and some are not.If you Dr. thinks you are a drug addict because you are trying to get pain relief for a chronic condition then you need to find another Doctor NOW.Try to find a pain clinic or a physician who specilizes in chronic pain.It has been proven medically that persond who suffer with chronic pain do NOT get addicted to narcotics. They do not get the high off the drugs that a person who soes not have chronic pain will get.YOU DO NOT NEED TO SUFFER THROUGH YOUR PAIN AND YOU ARE NOT A DRUG ADDICT. If your doctor has a problem perscribing the medications you need to relieve your pain then keep looking until you find a doctor who understands chronic pain and will give you the meds so you can lead a semi pain free life.Chronic pain suffers will never be completely free of pain but it can be controlled at a tollerable level with medications.Therre aree also laws to protect chronic pain suffereers so the doctors have to give you pain meds once you have been diagioned with a condition that causes chronic pain. Either get your physician to get you the medication to relieve your pain or find a new doctor. I would get a new Doctor.I work with the American Chronic Pain Association. If you want to talk more e-mail me.I would love to hear from you. hope you get the help you need. Judy
