Doctors do need to join the modern world of communication - the sooner they realise that, the better for their patients and staff alike. If used properly email can be a great tool for patient/doctor communication. However I have read articles concerning attempts to automate doctors by providing them with wireless hand held PC's so they can send a prescription directly to the pharmacist. That is too much. I would move doctors rather than be with a doctor who "goes wireless". What happens if there is an error in the wireless written prescription, or a delay in the prescription reaching the store, or if the store does not have the prescribed item in stock - No, a wireless doctor(sounds like a robot) is not a good idea, but a doctor with email definitely is. I want my doctor to get email now!
