At the age of 17, I was diagnosed with having fibromyalgia. After almost seven years of pain that never got better. Then in December of last year, I began experiencing the severe back pain accompa severe headaches the surrounded my whole head causing vision and hearing problems and syncopal (fainting) episodes. My family dr sent me to a neurologist. After a delailed neuro check, the neurologist told me that I had been misdiagnosed (including with the fibromyalgia) the past 15-18 years--when in reality every ache and pain was found to be a complication of Lyme's Disease. The fibromyalgia was really tortion dystonia (spasms causing the muscles to form knots). So don't give up. feel free to email me anytime with questions. I am from SC and 23 year old female willing to talk to anyone that is going thru what I have been through. Look forward to hearing from you soon.
