Pat Caruana
Dear Barbara, This is one the most frustrating thng I have ever experienced! I've been to more Doctors an had more test than I care to remember, with no findings or expanation for any of my pain/complaints. I know this sounds crazy, but I was beginning to think I was from Mars and that's why my test all come back normal. I new the pain and complaints were and are real but couldn't understand why nothing ever showed up in test!? I year and a half ago, I had a grand mal seizure while in a supermarket. Four different doctors later, and I don't know how many different test, with all of them being normal!!! Meanwhile I was unconscious 22 minutes! I just recently stubled upon fibromyalgia on the web, out of desperation, and I couldn't beleive I have every classic symptom! And a few others, not sure if they fall into this catagory? Beside the seizure, only the one, I get pain on the tops of my feet when I walk, not all the time though. I also get pain under my left arm and toward the breast. I went to my Internist, and breast surgeon, and once again, nothing was found. Yet I still suffer with this also. It too comes and goes. Have you heard of anyone else having these 3 complaints? Also haven't had a decent nights sleep in a couple of years. Am always tired/lithogic. Never wake up refreshed. Ive been on effexor sr for anxiety depression for 2 1/2 yrs. Also severe leg pain in calfs. This too comes and goes. I won't have it for a while and then I'll have it for a couple of weeks. When I don't have the severe pain though my legs always hurt and ache. Pleas forgive this lenthy message, but I'm almost excited that I know know what is wrong with me. I have app't with neurologist tomorrow, and then my internist wnts to send me to a rheumatologist. Forme to go to work everyday is like being tortured just to actually get myself ready, and then most of the day, I just want to lay down when I am there. It's a really horrible situation. I was literally begining to think I had some fatal disease no one could diagnose and would actually cry, wondering how long I had to live! Do you have any suggestions/input? I would welcome any advice. I live in Long Island, New tork, How about you? Hope to hear from you soon. Sincerely, Pat Caruana Do you have any input/suggestions? What type of Doctor do you see? I live in Long Island New York. I have an app't with my neurologist tommrrow, and then my internist wants me to see a Rheumatologist.
