CostoChondritis

I was diagnosed with costo 6 months ago by my family physician. I was scared to death, so ended up seeing a cardiologist just to be sure. He agreed it was not cardiac but musculoskeletal. It started in the center of my chest and now is equal on both sides, my arm also hurts some, and neck, sometimes I feel like I am being choked. I have been through vioxx, relefan, and now have celebrex 200mg daily. Also have flexeril prn, but that knocks me out, so only on weekends when nothing is going on. Physical therapy made it 10x worse, and osteopathic manipulation seemed to help, but not for long....in the end, time seems to be making it better. I agree, activity, sleeping on the wrong side, stress, driving posture, typing posture, etc. all seem to make it worse. I still worry sometimes that thye mis diagnosed, and it is heart, but if you change position, and it hurts when palpating, it probably is costo. Is there a particular specialty, like cardio, family, etc., that I should be looking for? I am 26, and can't imagine a lifetime of this. It is better, and I am better at ignoring it, but it does cause anxiety, high bp, etc. I would welcome any emails to discuss it further.
