Over the past few years, my wife has been awakened from her sleep by the following symptoms: * nausious sensation * shaking, almost shock-like * sweating / clammy * rapid heart-beat When awakened with thse symptoms, it's almost always followed by bowel movement/urination. The symptoms subside somewhat with time ( usually 3-5 hours later). Initially, this happened maybe once every 6 months, & usually just before meunstration, however, it seems to have increased in frequency (monthly), & the attacks are lasting longer( before & after that time of the month ). A common complaint that she has recently mentioned is that her left arm,around bicep area, is aching - like someone punched her in the arm. She has had a variety of testing done (heart,circulatory, bloodwork, gaul bladder...) currently seeing an endocronoligist. So far, the tests have all been neg., & suggestions of early premenapausal problems, diet, & panick-attacks have been offered. My wife is 36 years old - not really the "panicky" type..., and this has become a huge concern for wife & me - especially since there doesn't appear to be a simple diagnosis for her symptoms. Anyone out there ( female ) ever hear of or experience these type of feelings? If so, was a diagnosis offered? Thanks in advance for your responses! RAK
