my grandson is going to be a year old in two days. he was the same, diagnosed with poor muscle tone. then he dawned on us that charcot-marie tooth disease ran in my family. this is a rare form of muscular dystropy. we had dna testing done on him and sure enough he is carrying the gene for it. the doctor said he has a 50-50 chance of inheriting it. he also claims that the symptoms he is exhibiting now are not that of cmt. he doesnt crawl, but rolls around, does sit up but no attempt to walk or pull up. he is currently undergoing physical therapy twice a week and it is helping somewhat. i do know that this is somewhat common and does not signal any form of dystropy. have you thought of getting physical therapy for the baby.
