lasik tech
Lasik is performed on the cornea, not the lens and nothing is added. As people age the natural lens of their eyes become less flexible and thus the need for reading glasses since the lens cannot focus as well. This happens after age 40 or so. Therefore, if a person has their vision corrected (on the cornea) after 40, then they will probably need reading glasses to read, but EVERYTHING else in their life is clear! It's a wonderful thing... just be sure to go to a doctor who is a member of an organization with checks and balances for quality control! Very important. Remember, too, that doctors can say whatever they want about themselves in ads - it doesn't mean it is true!! A public company has strict restrictions about what they can put in an ad and is more likely to provide you with facts.
