Marge, I too have had serious restless legs, not being able to ride in the car, sit in church, movie, sleep, etc. I also have back problems and my doctor put me on Ultram for the back. I realized the RLS was getting better and was able to get off the Sinemet which had caused rebound and augmentation. I take 250 or 300 mg. a day; also 1 Mirapex at bedtime, and have had better results than with anything else. You might ask your doctor if you could try this. Any of the Antidepressants make mine intolerable. I also do arthritis exercises in a heated pool three times a week. I hope you find some relief, as I don't think anything is as bad. Do you receive the Restless Legs Newsletter? I have the application papers to donate my brain for research. I think possibly they should research the spine also. E-mail me and let me know how you are. Lou
