Diane
Hi, I have PCOS and it is a bugger. I only found out in February this year after five years of battling weigh gain, facial hair and six operations for ovarian cycts and adhesions resulting from the cysts bursting. I am now on a low starch and sugar diet (meaning I am eating mostly vegetables) and I have dropped 4 kilos (9 pounds). I also exercise every second day for one hour. Either walking fast or yoga. I can't say that anything has improved yet but from everything I've read it will. I can't take hormones because of a family history of heart and artery problems. Look into Sydnrome X and hyperinsulinaemia. Apparently these two are pre cursers to PCOS and that is why it is so important to get the diet under control. Good luck. Diane
