In regards to your message, my boyfriend stared feeling numbness and tingling in hands and feet, followed by weakness in his limbs, extreme pain in his back and along his nerves, he felt like he was walking on pins and needles. After his doctor dismissed his symptoms as maybe a pinched nerve, it turns out he had G.B.S. I'm not sure on the correct spelling but it's Guillon-Barray Syndrome. If your friend was recovering from a viral infection a short time before the onset of his symptoms, then maybe this is it. We had to go to the ER to get immediate attention. It can lead to complete paralysis and affects the diaphragm so go to someone quick. It is treatable and almost all who get this recover completely. Please let me know what happens. Thanks, Janie
