Fibrocystic cysts are will not turn to cancer. Why they are dangerous to have is the dense breast tissue that comprises the fibrocystic breast, can mimick certain cancerous tissues and make a diagnosis of cancer difficult. I have been dealing with fibrocystic breast disease since my late 20's, I am now 37 and have educated myself with my doctors help. Much of the information available stress the importance of proper diet(eliminating caffine) and supplimentation with vitamine E to reduce the density of the cysts so a radiologist can distinguish between your fibo's and cancer. I urge you to research this disease more to become better educated to what you can do to help your doctors and yourself in limiting your risk of not being able to recognize a cancer because of your fibro's. I aso get a mammagraphy once per year.
