DD
My daughter was diagnosed with Minimal Change NS at age 2-1/2. After an initial hospitalization, she experienced multiple relapses and was steroid dependent. After many such relapses, her doctor again put her on prednisone until remission, and then kept her on a "maintenance" dose of hydrocortisone for an entire year. When she came off the hydrocortisone at age 5, she never again had a full blown relapse. Her urine occassionally showed a "trace" of protein, but nothing significant. She has been in remission for 6 years now. Please feel free to contact me. We were lucky she had an excellent pediatric nephrologist.
