I am 48 yrs. old. I first noticed my problem about 15 yrs. ago. I went to a neurologist and he said because my granmother was like this, it is probably familiar. Also called familiar tremors. Avoiding caffeine seems to help, but other than going on tranquilizers, there isn't much else you can do. If it is familiar, it will stop when you hold both hands together. It gets worse when you pick up a glass, or cup. I'm also on an antidepressant, because I have several other chronic illnesses. Avoiding stressfull circumstances will help also, if you can.
