I just wanted to let you all know that you can live a very long time with this type of cancer. My mom has had it for 12 years now, and has enjoyed them. She has had four surgery's first the parotid gland was removed,then she had the nerve conduction, then a lung surgery, and most recent a crainiotomy. She has had both chemo which was not productive and radition which has worked the best. At present it has spread to her hands ad is mutiplying quite quickly. We stay hopeful that she will be with us a lot longer.
