fever of unknown origin

hi. my son had lots of fevers when he was two and it turned out he had chronic sinusitis. a cat scan done by a pediatrition that i asked to be referred to did the scan. i feel that if you are worried about your child and you have a gut feeling something is wrong, even though it may turn out to be minor, try to see a different doctor. i forced mine (badgered him!) into referring me to my brother's pediatrition and she found the problem out right away. it was treated within 2 months and now he is almost 4 and since i now know what to look for and can tell when he is having sinus trouble, i am on it right away and it has never been that bad since... i left it too long and his sinuses were 80-100% blocked!!! im not saying your child has the same thing, but i think its important that when our kids are sick, we follow our instincts and keep going until someone helps us! it could even be like a bladder infection or something easily treated like that, but if it gets left alone, your child will keep getting sick. his body is obviousyl fighting SOMETHING and the docs SHOULD be helping you out to find out what it up! i wish you luck!!! karrie
