Hi, I just returned from the dentist with a possilbe dx of Lichen Plantus, oral. He will do a bx next week to comfirm it. My mouth has been developing sores and errosions since about mid-July after using a toothpaste with a substance called Triclene that made my mouth lining peel off. Unfortunately I continued to use it because I was on vacation. On returning home I quit using it but the two original sores continued. Then I went to Mexico and after returning from that trip it just got worse and worse. It spread to the side of my tongue and under my tongue and to my cheeks. The original sore developed after I accidentally jab the soft tissues below the gums and teeth with my toothbush. I have also seen online responses alluding to vaginal problems, too. I too am having this kind of problems even prior to the oral problems. The vag. problems have slowly gotten worse over a three year time. I am taking a lot of medications for Diabetes, an autoimmune liver condition, asthma, and menopausal hormone treatment. I have type 2 diabetes, but am so "brittle" the Drs. put me on the insulin pump and I'm doing much better in that respect, because my HbC1 is back down to 7.3. It had been 8.6 before. I'd be interested in any addtional information for my Doctor and Dentist on this condition. As far as I know I haven't had the skin phase, although all through my life I've had from time to time what was dx'd as ecsema. Thanks-Pat
