Corticosteroids are NOT the answer

This message is in reply to the information about a corticosteroid cream. I am 28 years old, and have had severe KP for at least 5 years. About 4 years ago I was prescribed temovate, a topical corticosteroid. I gained twenty pounds in my legs within a month, and the skin on them literally ripped open into huge stretch marks that penetrated five layers. I have been undergoing laser treatments since that time to get rid of the stretch marks. What's worse, my circulatory system was seriously arrested. I could not stand for more than a few minutes, and I had to constantly place my legs up over my head to get the blood to flow back to my heart. Further, the steroid didn't even help my KP. Corticosteroid treatment is definitely not worth it. The pain has only just started to leave my legs after these many years.
