I have this condition, and it bothers me more in that my eyes are very red. My doctor does not recommend surgery to remove the pinguecula. He has me on Tears Naturale II. I am hopeful that this will improve the condition, but I feel very self concious about my appearance. I am trying to find out if there is any help in terms of surgery for this. It seems the doctors don't recommend this as it may cause scarring. I am trying to find out if this always occurs or if scarring may occur if the doctor is not careful enough. Has anyone had success with having this surgery done? Please respond asap.
