I was told 2 weeks ago that I have total placenta previa. I am now 18 weeks along and my Dr. had me quit working and everything as soon as we found out about this. He told me he may be a little over precautious but he also said he'd rather be safe than sorry. I can't really tell anyone how things go since i'm still new at this, but I have done a lot of research on it since finding out. I'm not to good at explaining but I can tell any of you that are curious to go to a web site called Club Previa i've searched many search engines putting in placenta previa and this one site has come up almost every time. It was created by a mom who went through this and has about 10 other stories from women who went through it, and it really helped me understand a whole lot. There are also links to other helpful sites. One piece of advise I can give is that make sure your Dr. is worried about you. I've read too many stories about women who had Dr.'s that told them not to worry, and to go on doing every day life things. I'm glad my Dr. listens to me and tells me everything I should be worried about, and I'm glad he's over cautious, it makes me feel 100% safer. He told me he would hate to see me do something now and have something go wrong later because I would never forgive myself for it, and I totally agree with him. So just keep that in mind.
