Due to an early childhood eye injury, I've had right eye amblyopia all my life. I am now 55 years old. With visual correction, I can drive and do most normal activities. But my eyes do not work together, and in the past this caused enormous problems with balance and coordination. Plus, school was hell because I got teased all the time about my eye. The risk of not being corrected by surgery, which is very small, would have been worth it, to me. It probably would pay to get some expert opinions from national eye health organizations, and your little one will later thank you immensely for doing the best you could to help. God bless you and I hope you find a workable solution. :)
