The pain you feel is from the infection in your lung[s]. It almost feels like a broken rib, and hurts each time you cough, sneeze, or move the wrong way. This would show up on a chest x-ray. The treatment: rest, rest and more rest, coupled with antibiotics, and I can't emphasize enough that you need plenty of fluids; water, juices, not caffeine, as that will interfere with your necessary rest. I promise it'll go away. I'm intrigued by the term "walking pneumonia." It's an old term that's come back into favor. I think it means that you're not too sick to be totally bedridden, but not well enough to feel good. Bottom line: rest, fluids, antibiotics, and this, too, shall pass. Good luck. Judy
