Crohns Disease

My sister-inlaw was diagnosed with crohns disease approximatley 6 years ago. Well at first they thought she had ulcerative colitis and when she had her colon removed ( j-pouch surgery )after not feeling any better she prolonged the normal protical treating crohns before deciding to get the illiostomy surgery which consist of prednizone ( steroid to control inflamation and bleeding), acicol, and a number of others, she delt with a lot of nutritional factors as well. Finally she put off the inevitalble and got the perminant iliostomy. The doctors promised it would make her feel alot better and she would be rid of the disease. She still has a lot of trouble with gaining wieght which they think it's due to the fact during the j-pouch surgery her ilium was removed which is very important for nutrition absorption. J-pouch surgery is not an option for crohns. My sister inlaw has an unfortunate severe case, most people after having an iliostomy or colectomy resume a pretty normal life. Make sure you talk to your doctor for all of your options and don't be afraid to get a second opinion. Before any surgery is done request the doctor tell you the success rate of the patients for what ever method you chose. But above all you should talk to God on the issue and seek him in your answers for healing. I heard a man that was being prepped for surgery and he was a christian and after praying diligently he had requested the doctors to do another test before they did the surgery because he said he new God had healed him. When the test came back there were no traces of the disease in his body. The doctors couldn't explain it other then it was a miricle. That could be you to. Good luck and God Bless
