I don't think an Infectious diseases specialist is warrented as neither cellulitus or dermititis is in this catagory. I am a nurse and suffer contact dermititus, and other symptoms as time goes by, as an allergy to LATEX !!!!!! You cannot imagine how many products actually have latex in them, including my safety glasses. I use ELOCON CREME 0.1%, on the dermititus a couple of times a day and it's really good. I would think that your Doctor should suggest you see a dermitologist or allergy specialist as this is really the only way to determine what is causing the problem. If your GP doesn't do this I think you should find one that will, you definately have a reaction of some discription, possibly from your boots, maybe your sox,it could be anything.Men often get dermititus or tinea from long days in work boots, and these are easily cured with the right cremes and/or powders.
