Peri, Has your daughter been checked for Helicobacter Pylori bacteria in the stomach? This is the bacteria than can cause stomach ulcers. Some people have symptoms and some do not. Some symptoms are stomach pain, acid reflux, gas, nausea, hives, etc. To find out if you have it they do a blood test. The treatment is a regimen of different medications,antibiotics, antispasmatics, antifungal and pepto-bismol. Ask your doctor if she can be tested for it. Hope she gets well. Kelly, R.N. in NJ
